Mulching

Make Your Yard Look Fresh and Stay Healthy

You’ve seen it before. That beautiful, black, rich coat of mulch that looks absolutely stunning when applied properly to the garden beds, trees and bushes, or the foundation of a home. The aesthetically pleasing look screams out Springtime and helps usher in the start of a new season.

But beyond looks, mulch is necessary for many different reasons to maintain a healthy yard. That’s why we offer it to our customers at Rasmussen Landscaping LLC.

We prepare your beds for mulch. We kill and remove any weeds that might be in the way, prune nearby bushes and trees if needed, edge the beds so they look nice and sharp, rake the soil, then mulch!

Why Mulching Matters

Mulch does more than look good, it plays a big role in your yard’s health and sustainability.

It also:

• Helps stop weeds from growing

• Keeps moisture in the soil

• Protects roots from heat and cold

• Adds nutrients to the soil as it breaks down

• Helps prevent soil from washing away during heavy rain

We usually mulch from late March through April. You should mulch your yard once a year, with a layer about one to two inches thick.

We offer different mulch colors and blends to match your style.
